Procrastination is a gigantic hurdle in my life, which I struggle to encounter every single day. Sometimes I win to beat it, and, most of the times, I face defeat in this war. It lessens my ability to carry out tasks and hinders my productivity.

Never Swallow More Than You Can:

Every time I start on working something, a random thought hooks up in my mind. I will start doing different things at a time. It ruins everything. Eventually, the failure welcomes me. Later, this guilt would prevent me to stay committed.

I tried to examine the primary aspect that contributes to this unproductive vicious cycle. To my shock, I found out that my instant glorifying moment boosts my thrust towards the accomplishment. At that moment, my craving to achieve things made me add different goals to my to-do list. I start to set an unrealistic deadline and assign myself unreal tasks, which demand a lot of practice. I realize that I swallow more than I can. It made me vomit. And its result turns into failure.

Strive For Consistency:

Challenging ourselves is essential to improve. But we must shift challenges from amateur to expert over time.

One of my goals was to write like a native. Rather than practising every day, I would wish that God will bless me with His magics. I would start writing like a professional. If, however, I realize that ‘Practice makes a man perfect’, my focus would be on perfection instead of practice.

So I decided to challenge myself to beat procrastination and made a commitment to write every day for 100 days. I will not strive for perfection but I will execute all the learning about writing. What matters is to stay committed for 100 days.

Inspiration To Challenge Myself:

I would also like to share the source from where I got the inspiration. Many of you would have been familiar with a Facebook star, Nas Daily. Nas challenged himself for 1000 days to make vlogs each day. When we hear it, this challenge seems a hectic task. But Nas made it. He travelled across the world, met different people, shared various stories and with every new vlog, he was improving.

Nas shared his tips to sustain the streak. According to him, setting a definite goal and a realistic deadline is the first step and most crucial. It shows you the path you are to follow. Nas pondered another point, which was to determine the value proposition of your targeted goal. Nas decided that he would make only one minute video for every single day. The purpose behind this was to take only one minute of his viewers’ life. This vision realized his viewers that Nas cares for us. He wished to provide the finest and best content within one minute.

Nas inspired me to do a 100 days challenge. The pattern for every blog will be such as:

  • Its reading span will be only two minutes. Your two minutes to read my blog will means a lot to me.
  • I will share different stories I perceive in my life. My purpose will be to add value to your time.

As a human being, I also hold some views and opinions on different things. I will never hurt your sentiments, even if you have a distinct ideology. I hope that you will provide your feedback. This invaluable feedback will help me to become a good human being and a better writer.
